We finally had a chance to take a couple of weeks off at the same time. We left Powell River on a rainy and snowy day with temperatures around 4C (40F). After a long, uncomfortable and noisy children flight, we arrived on Maui to a balmy 21C (70-75F) paradise. We spent the next two weeks biking around the Kiheh area to all the different beaches. Every beach has beautiful sand that stretches a long ways out into the ocean. The waves were quite big there at this time of year so we had many hours of great conditions for boogie boarding in the surf. It was a wonderful time filled with suntanning, playing in the water, eating great food, relaxing and biking around. We spent one day at the Maui Ocean Center which was phenomenal. Their shark tank and tunnel is a must see on the island. The many people that we met were wonderful and nice. Also, it seemed that just about every other person that we met there were fellow Canadians. We all had the same idea of getting some much needed sunshine and warmth. This video is the highlights of the trip. Don Taylor Music Copyright 2008. Enjoy. Maholo for watching.

Aloha,
Lucky you! I wish I lived there. I can’t wait to get back there for a visit some time.
Cheers.

Hana is great. Didn’t make it there this time but loved swimming at the black sand beach just outside of Hana. The whole island is beautiful. Can’t wait to go back.

It is absolutely incredible. Next time we’ll go for a month. I hear that all the islands are great so I’m sure they were in a beautiful place no matter which one they were on. You should go sometime.
