Forget countries such as Thailand, France, South Africa, and even the USA — India is becoming an increasingly popular destination for luxury travel.
Readers of the UK Conde Nast Traveller magazine have voted India as the 7th best holiday destination in the world. Votes were based on satisfaction with travel facilities and services, including hotels, spas, airlines and airports. However, what India scored the highest on was the warmth of its people and hospitality. New luxury trains, such as the Maharajas Express have also added to India’s appeal as a luxury destination.
