Now a world renowned tourist resort receiving over thirty million visitors a year, it’s difficult to believe that only 40 years ago Cancun was just a strip of forest flanked by beaches. With its stunning beaches, fine dining, luxury hotels and resorts, you could spend your whole vacation in Cancun without stepping outside the “Hotel Zone.” That would be a shame, though, because the area around Cancun has plenty to offer!
